Mosaic Home D¨Ścor Is Very Middle Eastern

Mosaic home d¨Ścor is a very Middle Eastern look. If you are trying to achieve a Middle Eastern look or Moroccan as many people call it, the use of mosaic tile is a must. Mosaic tiles need to be used on the floors, walls or furniture to achieve a mosaic home d¨Ścor look. The use of brass accessories, pillows, candles and silky type fabric is also used to achieve this look.

A Tasteful Look

To achieve a tasteful mosaic home d¨Ścor look, do not overdo the mosaic tiles. Start with a fountain in the entryway that incorporates the mosaic tile. Tile floors with mosaic borders are another way to achieve this style. A full mosaic tile floor can be very slippery and quite expensive and draws all the attention to the floor. This can be done, but you are limited to the style of furniture that you would put onto the floor. Therefore, by using the mosaic tiles as a border on the floor is a tasteful and less expensive route to follow. A mantle on a fireplace could be made out of mosaic tile or the top of the walls could have mosaic borders. If there are French doors which lead to a patio and pool, your mosaic home d¨Ścor can continue outside. Large, overstuffed loungers with colorful pillows are fun on a mosaic home d¨Ścor patio. There can even be a larger mosaic fountain on the patio and the pool can have mosaic murals on the bottom. Canopied tents can cover the patio and small mosaic tables can sit along side the loungers. There are endless possibilities when using mosaic tiles, but it is important to remember to use restraint when decorating with these tiles.

The Mosaic Bedroom

Mosaic home d¨Ścor can be easily incorporated into the bedroom of the home. Designing a colorful mosaic wall is a good start to achieving your mosaic home d¨Ścor bedroom look. Continue with a large canopied bed that is draped with several silk and sheer fabrics. Use occasional tables that have mosaic tops and outline a wall mirror in mosaic tiles to continue with your theme, and then put several Persian rugs on the floor. Also use large colorful floor pillows and lots of throw pillows for the bed. Beads and mosaic tiles can adorn the throw pillows as well. Finish with lots of candles, letting some of them drip onto their holders and your mosaic home d¨Ścor will be complete.
